Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate, this is a very good lesson to work on different techniques in a real music situation. You learnt the overall solo and now it's time to focus on details, to adjust each lick to make it sound tight and with a good feeling. Let me do a list of things that you need to improve:

- timing: there are many licks with timing issues, and the most important ones are the faster licks. This means that you are having technique limitations that can be worked with specific exercises, mostly for alternate picking and legato. Also, practice the solo over the original lesson to compare your rhythm with Trond's.

- Vibrato & bending: Your vibrato is a bit weak on this take, you need to work on this technique as well as bending, because I hear many bends that don't reach the correct pitch.

- I found many sections where the connection between licks is not smooth, there is a silence there that shouldn't happen. Try to make the notes sound longer to avoid this. Maybe it's a sustain issue regarding your tone, check it out.

Ok, this are the main things to improve, we can work on this at Gab's Army.

Keep on the hard work!

Glad to see you in the rec zone, mate! You should focus on Gabriel's suggestions and try spending some time on the quality of your notes. Tone is very important - pitch, vibrato, the character of a note when being played. Tone is more in our fingers, you know.. I think you should try making every note be as clear as possible. Make each one count, mate! smile.gif
