OK, here's my dilemma:
I need a guitar that can get enough grit and speed for things like Yngwie, but can also get a warmer tone for Hendrix style licks. Also, nothing that really spells out ROCKSTAR because for now if I apply for a Jazz Band they won't take me if I have a giant Flying V...(I know, they're stupid that way)
I have narrowed it down to these 3 possibilities:
Jackson Dinky DKMGT (Black Finish)
Les Paul Black Beauty
Ibanez JS100

Thanks

I'd try Parker guitars. They are good for that sort of thing. Just look at David's Hendrix lesson and also they are awesome jazz and blues instruments. Very versatile.

I would buy a Strat and tweak it. Both Yingwie and Jimi played on strats, so that would be the best choice there imho.

I agree, a strat will get you the sound you want, and they looks conservative but cool.
