Beautiful is a good word for it.

I never got to see them live with Tarja.

I've seen them 2x since, man they put on a show! True masters of their craft. Each of them. And great showmen.

I think overall I do too.

Some songs no, but overall I think they are more listenable with Anette.

Once is the best Nightwish album (and you might recognise my avatar!).

I don't think that they can compete with Kamelot though....

I thought Once was there worst. I like Oceanborn. I think thats my favorite Nightwish album.

I like nightwish (Especially this song ). Doesn't matter if it's Tarja or Annete they still can maintain their sound.
I like the newer 2 albums (Once and Dark Passion Play) better than the previous ones.

Thank god somebody thinks the same as me. I can't stand Once. I love earlier Nightwish like Tutankamen and Slaying the Dreamer or whatever it's called. Great songs. Now they are terrible. Nemo, Wish I Had An Angel and Ghost Love Score are 3 of the worst songs imaginable. It's a shame as before Once they were one of my favourite bands. Now they are one I can't stand. I could have seen them at Bloodstock but I avoided them.

Once is a good album, my favorite is century child...Anette is a good singer, as long as she doesn't sing "She is my sin", I'm happy

And it goes on and on...Oceanborn is probably the one thing I don't like about Nightwish.

I can agree with that one. Wish I had an Angle is simply a failed attempt to create a radio hit. Nemo ditto. Ghost Love Score is simply following the stupid tradition that every album has to have an "epic" track (Lappi, Pharaoh Sails to orion, Fantasmic etc) where Toumas can show off with his composition skills (which he doesn't lack whatsoever but this kind of artificial epicness is not my cup of tea). Btw that's what forced the band to release a two-disc edition with Nuclear Blast, the second cd containing all tracks without vocals and I don't say they're bad at all but again they could have released these tracks on singles and B-side editions.

My fave album from them is Dark Passion Play if we count it as a start point for a new era (which I consider to be true with Marco and Emppu gaining a more important role in the music itself), but the culmination for the old era was definitely Oceanborn and Wishmaster.
