Here is a pentatonic scale chart at the bottom of this page. It is a blues chart but it also seperates the blues note from the pentatonic notes on the fret board. this chart shows the 5 boxes in each key. This was helpful for me to move around the fret board. If you will notice all the patterns are the same as the Am pentatonic patterns. They just shift up or down the fret board to put them in a different key. Such as Gm or Em. ect...There is also a link on this page to other scales. (Basics) ...Anyway hope I didnt confuse you and I hope this chart will help.

I was thinking more in terms of non pentatnoic scales, but rather say 3 note per string scales. Kinda like paul gilbert !!
