MACINTOSH USERS : The High End Video Editing/Effects software called SMOKE is available for a free download while it's in Pre Release. This software used to cost $U.S 45,000 (Yes forty five thousand dollars) and now costs U.S. $3,000 so this is the only download I"m likely to get but I grabbed it.

So this is only for MAC users?

The old version ran only on IRIX (unix variant) on Silicon Graphics Machines, then it went to LINUX on PCs, now it's MAC OS On macs. The MAC OS is very close to 64 Bit Linux/Unix under the hood.
