Just got a silly idea.. Or not, cause I think it would be kind of cool smile.gif

As we all know its pretty "boring" but necessary to practice with the metronom!

So, would it be possible to make some kind of different real drumbeats in different speed?

Instead of practice to the metronom, you could choose some drums to practice with, just like the metronom but with drums.
You probably know what I mean by now smile.gif

There is some online metronoms with drums but not good ones.

What do you think about it? It would be cool to have it here on GMC!

I would go one step further and add a bass-line progression to go with it. I wrote a blog article about it here if you're interested in my 2 cents.

I completely agree. Playing to a metronome can be tiring after awhile. You should try and get the patten on designing one! smile.gif

This is how I always practice!!! smile.gif
I use drum beats whenever I can instead of the metronome and since I'm a bass player - it makes perfect sense wink.gif

It would be cool to make a drum groove library here on GMC with beats in different speeds!

In the meantime, I found this online drum machine to be very useful : http://www.rinki.net/pekka/monkey/

Cheers,

Sounds like a very cool idea. Maybe a "Drum Generator" sort of like how we have the "Scale Generator?" you type in a BPM and make some selections and them play to drums!

I often make drums sections using EZ Drummer to practice with. I've included song sections in my video chat lessons for students to play over as well. Of course, that's once we have the pattern down using the metronome smile.gif

Cosmin, this is an awesome idea!

Whether it's a drum groove or backing track, I'm sure people would be more motivated to practice to those, rather than a metronome.
