That's right, disciples ! You are having a go at a lick that I uploaded for the Penta-Shred thread ! Don't worry, the other guys are getting a harder lick !!

This is a common phrase that is found within rock, blues, metal.. in fact you could probably fit it into most styles of music !

Pay particular attention to the picking pattern. It's designed to be easy to play. I start on a Down stroke, then I play 2 consecutive U strokes with a sweeping motion and then pull off to the last note.

At the end is a tricky little bend on the 12th fret. Bend up a whole tone, then drop it a semitone and then a semitone again until you've brought it back down to it's non bent state. The bend after that is played with the index finger !!
