Leslie Speaker Effects

Hey everyone,
I am very lucky and own a Leslie 122R speaker system, whcih sounds wonderful, but I can't take it with me when I'm out (too big, too heavy). Has anyone played with any of the Leslie speaker simulators (units, pedals) ? Could I please have a review of any of the products? I just love that roto-speaker sound and would love to incorporated into some of my music... I'm ready to buy but just don't know what....?

Lessons Direction

I'm a new member and love the site but would love a way to put a check next to a lesson that I have already finished....

It also would be good, to have a set of systemic lessons in series, from beginner to master lessons, teaching skills needed for future lessons. This would give members a plan of study which would keep them on pace, with structure, and feedback.
Believe me, I love the GMC site but find myself skipping around and missing things that I know will need later.
Is such a plan or structure on this site that I have miss? Could a 20 lesson series be in order?
I would enjoy any feedback..

Intro To Me

Hello,
I'm Skip Goya, from Rhode Island, USA
I have a lot of vintage instruments,,,
I play an acoustic 1965 Goya guitar which I love and also have a very nice Morris acoustic also, and am looking for a vintage guild guitar.
For electric I play a Ibanez 1972 artist, a 1978 Ibanez CN 200, 1967 goya single cut-away hollow body guitar, a couple of vintage lap guitars and numerous mandolins.
I play them through vintage 1960's Ampeg amps....there is nothing like a tube amp, nothing can touch them, I believe, and even own a Leslie 120 roto speaker system.. my wife has accused me of being a hoarder.
I love all types of music as long as it is done welll...
I have played since 8 years old but dropped the guitarfor a number of years when I focused on the mandolin...
I want to learn to get back where I was and even better.... I play every night at least an hour.
I love the site and look forward to learning, and sharing.

Equipment Talk

Hello fellow GMC

I am very interested in learning about equipment that everyone is using and/or has tried...the good and the bad...
I also would like to discuss different old (vintage) and new equipment... guitars, pickups, amps, effects, everything..especially recording equipment for the home studio.
I use vintage ampeg all tube amps... a Jet, a Gemini, Reverbrocket and Leslie organ amp and others.
I know little of effect pedal/boards so a section on this would help me greatly.
I also love the guitars that are names I never heard of...
I was just wondering what others think...

I just signed on and love the concept of the site...
Learning so much too, can't wait to jump on and get working to get better.
I am interested in all types of music and play mandolin as a first instrument. I have now begun to serious work on my guitar which I put down for many years.
Most of my equipment is vintage...Ampeg tube amps and could use help on what effects, pedals to add to get the sound you have or should I just buy a new amp...?

Anyone into Howard Roberts, Tal Farlow, Joe Pass, and others I just love their phasing and would love a lesson or two.
Are there any lessons on the African guitar like the sounds of Ali Farka Toure and others which I love.

If you haven't heard of please check out "Robert Randolph and the family band" a pedal steel player but WOW!!
I know I'm all over the place but just excited about finding the community GMC and can't wait learn new things and to tell my fellow guitar friends.
