Hey,

I just want to know if anyone can help with this problem I have. OK, so I made a full length midi drum sequence for a song I'm working on in guitar pro. I finished it,exported as midi threw it into Cubase le4 and added Addictive drums and it sounded horrible! instead of a hi hat count in the beginning I got a side stick count, instead of a snare I either got a side stick or the cowbell and for a Crash cymbal I got the hi hat. the midi sounds perfect with ezdrummer but I wanted to try AD for a change in tonal quality. So, what am I doing wrong? does it have to do with the mapping? can anyone help?

Any help will be much appreciated smile.gif

Thanks,
Eric

Hello Eric!

You got it right, the problem is mapping. AD uses a different mapping than the General MIDI mapping, so you have to adjust your tabs as the following:

Kick - 36
Snare - 38
Ride - 60
Crash - 77, 81
Hi-hat closed - 49 open - 54
Toms - 65, 67, 69, 71

These are the ones I've written together, but you can easily find out the others you need by checking into AD's folder (\Program Files\XLN Audio\Addictive Drums\Manual) and looking at the Addictive Drums Keymap.pdf here smile.gif if you don't have the file, just ask for it and I'll gladly upload it for you smile.gif

Hope I could help,

Richard

You don't need any software to do that.
You open midi editor, fix mapping, rename it
and save the midi map as a new one.
