> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi man, there's some improvement with palm muting but there's still some areas that need work.

In your eagerness you go a little in front of the beat near the beginning.

You're still getting it wrong at 0:35 and 0.39. You're fretting the 3rd fret just one note too late. Interestingly, you get it exactly right at 0.42 on the last bend. If you do the same thing with the previous two bits you'll get it right.

Hi mate, I can see a big improvement in intensity, you are picking stronger the riffs and now this lesson sounds metal! There are just two details to have in mind:

- There are some timing issues that seems to appear because you are playing stronger now. Be careful with this.
- The vibrato played in the first riffs should be more consistent. Check the original lesson and try to emulate Cosmin's vibrato.

That's all from me. Keep on the hard work.

Hi Lukasz! Nice to see You "BACK in REC" smile.gif Don't want to copy guys opinion. Please take a close look at Your left hand. I think there is a lot of muting (sort of noise supressing) job You first finger could do. When You play on distortion always try to keep contact with unwanted strings. The more gain there is, the more muting job needed. You can constantly hold flat first finger on the all string below the one You actually play. Also while Palm muting You can add extra "muting force" from the right hand just by keeping the pinky and side of the palm with full contact with the strings (rest on the high strings). Anyway nice tone and good job over this lesson. Esential improvements are pointed by Gab and Ben smile.gif

Hey Lukasz smile.gif

Glad to see you are working on this one as eagerly as you are - to sum things up:

- the vibrato in the initial riff
- timing - don't rush
- clean playing - see Darius' suggestions for muting the unwanted noises
- the licks at 0:35 and 0:39

These are the things that you need to work on for achieving perfection smile.gif

Keep rocking!

Cosmin
