Thing You Need When You Move

In september I am going to another university for a master degree in International Politics. The thing is, the other university is far from where I live and I need to move over there. Actually I am living in my parents house and it's the first time that I move permanently. I really need to find an appartement quicly so I am calling a lot of owner. The thing is I have so much things to think of. What do I need? Is there anyone who has some personal advice. Like, what do I need to get for the kitchen, living room, bathroom. How do I signed the contract with the owners. There is so many things to think off, I really need some advices. The good thing is that I'm moving with one of my friend who is also going to that university. And BONUS, he his a guitar player also, he is the singer/rythm guitar of my band. I really need any kind of advice because I need to get set really soon. P.S sorry for the mistakes, it is pretty late here but I spend all the night jamming and searching for an appartement. May 4 2009, 08:20 AM	Learning Rock Star Posts: 1.758 Joined: 13-April 08 From: Merseyside, UK	Try and get a furnished apartment mate, then all you need is the man-essentials: TV, fridge (For beer) stereo, playstation 3 (Doubles as a dvd player!) and a microwave (For late night mid jam session snacks). On a serious note really read the terms of your lease, the landlord will put all sorts of clauses in there about maintenenance and damage to the apartment, even things like putting up pictures can give them cause for withholding your security deposit. Also have a good look at the area and your heighbours, guaranteed you will be the most hated person in your building if you play guitar so you may want to invest in a a good set of headphones or risk "Angry neighbour syndrome". Here in denmark most apartments does not come furnished, but if it does where you are.. excellent.. Then i guess most of it's already been mentioned.. But, try and take it easy.. it's a good thing to be prepared, but stressing too much over it is bad.. so prepare yourself as good as you can, and if something is missing.. well.. go and get it when you need it.. Also your new University may have a Student Officer responsible for housing.
