I ran in to the Halo Guitars web site (I had heard really bad things about them long ago) and was impressed with the configurator tool where you can do a virtual build of any of their guitars. I built a very spiff spalted top, fanned fret, 8 string and it would cost about $2,400. Not bad for a custom build with this many features but probably outside of the budget at this point now that I just bought two guitars and a new mixer/interface
