Iron Maiden has produced many records throughout their career. Come check out Ramiro's new lesson, "Iron Maiden: Fear Of The Dark", and then post a reply to the following poll. What's your favorite Iron Maiden disk?

Mine is "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" (al though I havent heard them all...)

Its really hard to choose. But from newer stuff, I definitely liked Brave New World and Dance Of Death albums.

After some thinking I voted for their first album, Iron Maiden. I think that together with Killers have meant the most to me, with Paul Di'Anno on vocals it was perfect for the more raw - more punk like - sound they started out with.

Then I'm also fond of "Somewhere in time" which I suppose makes me a minorty. Havn't listened much to the last albums but I've heard them at least once.

Seems I have the same story as some of you.

Brave new world is my favorite, it was the first full album I heard.

I'm not into the really old stuff. In fact I only have Brave new world, A matter of life and death and Dance of death (the last one I found cheap in a record store just before Christmas).

If I must choose an older song I really like it must be the song No prayer for the dying.

I voted Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, because I love all the songs in the album for their melody and because they are all very memorable. Otherwise there are favourite songs from many albums, notably those listed above.

Although it pains me to choose just one album, I'll have to go for Piece Of Mind smile.gif
The song "Revelations" is one of the best songs ever written in my opinion!

I voted "The Final Frontier" because a lot of the songs are a good mixture of their late 80's material (Powerslave, Somewhere In Time) and they have a fresh new feel to it as well.

But, Powerslave is tied with that, that album is just flat-out, mindblowingly amazing.

As cliche as it might be I picked Number of the Beast smile.gif

I was 5 when that album came out and I remember my uncle (who is only 8 yrs older than me) had bought it. My mother didn't approve of me listening to it so that of course meant I had too smile.gif I remember I'd sneak into his room and listen with head phones on so no one knew I was playing it and he'd also let me listen when mom wasn't around.

I got caught when my uncle had it playing on the house stereo one day and I sang along. I understood the full meaning of "Run to the Hills" that day LOL!!

Wow, that's really a tough one. I choose Somewhere in Time, one of their most technical challenging albums, but also one of the albums that is not that "popular".
