Long time lurker..first time posting wink.gif

I just purchased two Paul Gilbert albums, Get Out and Silence, and am really really digging Get Out of My Yard. Does anyone have any recommendation of similar instrumental albums with that rock/groove feel? (Other than the typical Satriani and Vai stuff)

Thanks in advance,
~Brian

Thanks for all the advice guys. I do have Vinnie's "Meltdown", and like it very much.
One cool way that I like to discover new music is the "Listeners Also Purchased" function in Itunes.

Steve Vai - Passion and Warfare + Alien love Secrets are a must. Real Illusions: Reflections is also good, but I only like certain tracks on that album. The last 2 tracks, I'm your secrets and Under It All are amazing.

Also, I like gilberts burning organ and his earlier Racer X stuff is good, but the production quality of the racer x albums always seems a bit low to me, but it's definantly worth a listen, like technical difficulties and second heat.

Eric Johnson - Ah via musicom.

Mr. Big is worth a listen to, it's very humble-pie meets metal sorta sounding and obviously has gilbert on guitar some more.
