Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey Nico - very cool choice of lesson!

Overall I think you are doing pretty good here, though there is one major issue preventing me from truly enjoying your playing:

Your lead is quite a bit out of tune. I suspect it is either your intonation, your strings (maybe they are old) or just your overall tuning.

Because of this I will give you a 5, but I can't wait to hear you playing with a tuned guitar - I think it will rock! 👊

Keep up the good work!

Hey there!

I think you get the geneal idea of this lesson. You did some good job with Gabriel. There are some things you are already concious of, but let me just point out to clarify everything:

1. tuning/pitch - some straight notes suggest there is a problem with one of 2 - tuning proces or intonation adjustment. Make sure to recheck a few fretted notes as well as open strings. compromise is needed here. Make sure your intonation is setup well (saddles on the bridge) to make sure your upper frets will match the right pitch when you tune the open strings.

2. Vibrato - I notice you're working on it in a good direction. Before you'll get some natural fluency, try to make things consistent. Besides E1 string, it is easier to always pull down the string and release instead of pushing and releasing. You leave it to a random maneer and randomness is the main cause of precision issues.

3. It is not obvious and will feel wierd at start, but...you should not release fretting fingers while you add next one/ones on next frets. It like pushing the car - easier to do by 3 men, than 1. When you add fingers instead of replacing, you split the strength to all fingers. Less strength - less tension - better control. It is critical for bending and vibrato, but even with straight notes it makes sense.

Keep up the good work smile.gif
