GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Another Noob Here...quick Questions Also

Hi guys,

Im John. Been playing around 7 months. Found this site through thefireball100's youtube channel. I didnt know these sites existed. Its awesome to see so many lessons and the community. I have been using justinguitar as a spring board, and Ive focused pretty much exclusively on rhythm playing, though been wanting to get into more solo stuff.

Mainly into pop rock, hair metal, grunge,..and so on.

Anyone have any favorite lessons for developing picking and solo stuff in general?

So far I love the ACDC series, the bon jovi stuff, motley crue etc. Very cool stuff!

Since you said you were playing for 7 months, I'd say the examples below can become a great basis in what regards the development of your picking technique, but as Darius said, it would be great if you could share some recordings with us:
