Yes I'm 31 yrs old and I love Harry Potter... you have a problem with that?? mad.gif tongue.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I know not everyone is a fan, but I just saw the trailer and I'm pretty excited for the new movie... little things amuse me LOL!!! Actually I think this year is going to be a pretty good one for movies. T4, GI Joe, Watchmen, Transformers 2, Wolverine just to name a few I'm looking forward to seeing this year. Anyways here is the trailer for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I hope you enjoy.

So what movies are you looking forward to seeing this year?

In addition to some of the movies mentioned, I really look forward to seeing Inglourious Basterds.

I'll have to add that I'm 31 and I love Harry Potter too!
I'm waiting for the Half Blood with impatience!

Two others I'm looking forward to are 'Frost/Nixon' and the new Pedro Almodóvar film 'Broken Embraces'.

David maybe we can start a support group for us over 30's laugh.gif laugh.gif But the movie looks so great I'm reading the book again in anticipation!!!

I forgot about the new Tarantino movie botoxfox, it looks very good as well. Not a big Brad Pitt fan but he looks to do a great job in this movie. I saw Enzo Castellari's film yrs ago (Tarantino's movie is inspired by it) but am looking forward to the "spagetti western" take on WWII. Should be interesting.

Frost/Nixon is on my list of movies to see as well as Milk and The Reader... hey I might as well see all the Oscar nominees right?

Erik nice to see another Potter fan smile.gif Kind of annoying that they are releasing the final film as a two parter, but I guess they want to get as much in as possible... and also get that extra 10 bucks from us LOL!!! Or probably 30 from me wink.gif

I didnt even know order of the phoenix came out

Posted by: tonymiro Mar 8 2009, 04:19 PM

'Milk' is a must for me as well- for some reason I forgot that one Rok, thanks for reminding me smile.gif . My wife's godfather was a friend of Harvey Milk way back in the late 60s and remained a friend until Harvey died. Both were involved in the civil and gay rights issues at the time. Wife's godfather was 90 last year and he is still very politically active.

No problem Tony smile.gif My aunt saw him speak at a rally about a year before he died, she said it changed her life. She saw the movie and said it was amazing and that Sean Penn really did a great job. I bet your wife's godfather has some amazing stories from that time.

31 is a popular age for Harry Potter fans apparently laugh.gif laugh.gif

Yeah I like it better when they release it in the winter as well... not sure why. I think maybe cause the first few were released then so it seems like that is "Harry Potter" time. Like you knew that next winter you'd have another Potter movie, sort of like when they released LOTR. You just new the same time the next year you'd have the next movie. Plus with so many blockbusters released in the summer it was like saving the best for last smile.gif

I think with the last movie they are planing a winter release for the first part and then a summer release for the second.

I liked Order of the Phoenix, but I thought it was a bit "disorganized", for a lack of a better term, at the beginning. But the wizard fight at the end was pretty darn cool.

Your profile says you´re 20. laugh.gif But only for a few days. wink.gif

I love Harry Potter, too. The books were incredibly well written and I forgot the real world while reading them. It is such an awesome story. I´m looking so much forward for the last two films as you are! biggrin.gif

My favorite Harry potter movies are the third and fourth........

The Third is my favourite movie and book. I originally never read the first two books, so the third book was the first one I read (new the story from the first two movies) I was hooked after the first couple of chapters. And the movie was just as I imagined in my head. Sirius Black is an amazing character, and Gary Oldman is one of my favourite actors so I was really happy.

But Snape will always be my fave smile.gif

Posted by: superize Mar 8 2009, 08:49 PM

I havent read any of the books(not much of a reader) i have only read 200 pages of the 4 th book...... I watch the movie and thats it.....

Posted by: Trond Vold Mar 8 2009, 08:59 PM

I'm really looking forward to Watchmen. I have a feeling that one will be really, really good smile.gif

Posted by: VinceG Mar 9 2009, 12:15 AM

Should the new Wolverine movie really be about Wolverine? I mean it featured more X-Men original characters more than the last 2 "X-Men" movies.

Slumdog Millionaire is also pretty high up there for the movie that Im actually wanting to see. Transformers 2, yes up there as well since the first one was pretty good. Yeah, I think this year is gonna be a good one for me since I haven't really been that excited in going movies ever since I turned 14.

Posted by: Alexiaden93 May 5 2009, 05:40 PM

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and I'm 15 years old ! tongue.gif In my opinion it's amazing how J. K. Rowling manages to make all the references to mythology and history comprehensible by everyone... It's a shame that as the books become longer, the movies stay the same length sad.gif

I can't blame you for liking Harry Potter though ! biggrin.gif

Oh I saw this the other week. If like me you enjoyed the high octane ride of the first, then this is a must-see.
Yah, I also quite like the Potter films. I enjoyed most of the books although not nearly as much as the Philip Pullman Dark Materials Trilogy. I'd love to see them continue from the Golden Compass and adapt all the books to film.

I enjoy Jason Statham but I must say I did not enjoy Crank at all. Just wasn't my cup of tea really. And I believe they were suppose to do the other two books in his Dark Materials trilogy but I have not heard anything as to when they will be done if at all.

I saw Wolverine yesterday, I am not sure, but now I am thinking it is the best marvel movie till date. Maybe some other movies had scenes that had bigger "wow" factor, but the film as a whole has no equal in marvel series.(so it is a must see for marvel fans)

Posted by: Muris Varajic May 6 2009, 01:11 AM

Angels & Demons is the one I'm really looking forward to.
If it's 50% exciting as the book then it's gonna be just awesome. biggrin.gif

Posted by: skennington May 6 2009, 04:39 AM

35 here and a Potter fan as well. All above mentioned I'm looking forward to but none more that this one...

Edit: Michael Bay is the MAN!

Posted by: Startear May 6 2009, 01:50 PM

watchmen should be awesome movie, I read comic book and I must say I haven't read better comic in a long time (maybe V for Vendetta biggrin.gif)

Nice trailer!!!! I'm not a fan of Harry Potter but I love the special effects.
Really I´m waiting for Back to the Future IV laugh.gif

Posted by: Fsgdjv May 7 2009, 08:25 AM

I'm looking forward to Public Enemies, a movie with both Depp and Bale can't go wrong.

And I'm definetly not looking forward to Transformers 2, the first one was the worst movie I ever saw in a cinema and I really really don't agree with the statement "Michael Bay is the MAN", he is about as good as Uwe Boll in my opinion.

If you view it like you would Batman, well then good entertainment. Everybody knows that Batman really is not for real.

Indeed, there are just a few movies "based on true story"
but I don't see those listed here anyhow. biggrin.gif

Posted by: Iluha May 7 2009, 08:29 PM

I'm a sucker for special effects, excuse for wanting to have fun in a movie, if I want a good story I'll read a book smile.gif
Terminator 4
Transformers 2
Star trek(Watching tomarow)

hmm I think there were but I can't recall right now sad.gif

Posted by: rokchik May 8 2009, 01:05 AM

Saw Wolverine... not the best movie ever made but I enjoyed it. Besides it being basically 2 hrs of eye candy for me (sorry girlie moment there wink.gif ) it actually was an entertaining movie. But Deadpool and Gambit are high up on my list of fave mutants so am happy they made it into the movies finally. I hear they are talking spin off movie with Deadpool actually.

So many movies so little time smile.gif Star Trek is next, I'll see that next week. Not a big trekkie... but I love Simon Pegg and am interested to see him as Scotty.

Wah! ohmy.gif Crank rules! Jason Statham rocks hard, one of my favourite male actors!
I better go book some tickets.

Yeah. I thought the Crank was cleverly shot. Reminded me of a manic, adrenaline fuelled version of Falling Down. Also - Crank 2 soundtrack is by Mike Patton

Yes, why on earth would anyone watch a movie based on a novel wich is completely fictional and think of it as anything else than a made up story? ohmy.gif
