No, we are all robots who play everything perfectly and exactly the same every time.
But seriously, everyone here has 'on' and 'off' days, most likely, even the big name shredders have days when they're better and days when they're worse. Not really anything you can do about it except try to sleep and eat right and all that.

I have those days. But i relate it pretty much to good sleeping and weather as i am very weather-dependent person.

Sleep and weather, as Pavel said, may very well effect your day-to-day playing -- BUT, I whole-heartedly believe that our overall mood has an enormous effect on how well we lay out the chops. The more relaxed and destressed you are, the better you will play.

There's something relied upon in the medical world known as an "anxiety scale". There are 4 levels to this scale with 4 being the highest level. Level 1 is where people push themselves to perform a little harder, increased concentration levels, etc. But, when you get to level 2 and up, your ability to learn and perform become increasingly impaired -- up to the point in level 4 -- where a person has lost all touch with reality and has literally become a danger to themseleves and others around them.

Surely this may seem like an extreme example, but it does demonstrate the significant effect of stress and emotion on functional ability. If you find yourself fumbling around the fretboard and getting increasingly annoyed with your alleged inability to play, then take a break -- listen to some music, read some of Andrew's theory lessons, surf the forums. However, if you insist on continuing to play, switch over to playing something you know so well you can play with your eyes closed.

Then, when that nasty inner voice that says "you suck" has quieted down, go back to whatever it was that was challenging you. Chances are, you'll be far more productive at learning and find enjoyment in your new accomplishment.

Like the rest said, I think you'r playing reflects you'r emotions, and if you'r really down or pissed off your playing will be worst.

Hey thanx everyone for the imput ,I am glad to see its just part of the process and I can see there are alot of things that can effect your playing. I will, like I am sure Pavel and all the good ones have done and that is Grit your teeth and play through. To reach my goals . And like Kris says practice practice practice, and overcome those days.

I also have these days. But mostly I dont recognize it, if I have a good day :/ But last weekend I recognized it "Oh whats up you are playing fast and cleaner than other days"
I also have days like that: I want to play guitar, than i pick it up, and after 5 minutes I dont want to play anymore, because nothing works :/
There was one time, it was going over a few weeks, that I didnt want to pick up my guitar and If I picked it up, it was only bad, what I have played.

But as you can see everybody has that problems, so just get over it, and play guitar biggrin.gif

I had such a day today...
I failed at everything!

But yesterday everything went just fine.

It's just ups and downs. Tomorrow will be a good day! biggrin.gif (I hope)

And my right hand is as cold as an eskimo's nose when he sat outside for two days straight! It's a lot like that. Maybe it's because of that my playing isn't what it has to be... Does someone know what it could be, en how to get rid of it?
