I know it has been some time since i posted my one and only, lesson. I have been spending as much time in the forums as i could to make up for some of that.

I have been in the process of remodeling my house, almost everything to be honest. From a new kitchen, to putting in new windows all around. As well as tiling all the floors and painting inside and out rebricking my fireplace etc. and so forth.

With that being said i have just havent had much time to myself as just myself and my brother are doing all the work. It is just about all finished with just a few mundane details left to finish and cleaning up.

I am looking forward to getting to work here, i appreciate very much the dedication that Kris and everyone behind the scenes has for keeping this site running smoothly. As i said i hope to soon get in the swing of things and start cranking out some lessons and being even more active in the forums.

I certainly have had enough time to think about what i want to accomplish here. I am not the most technically proficient guitairst, i have spent most of my guitar playing life trying to find the creative side of guitar playing and not so many hours learning how to blaze on the fretboard. What i hope to accomplish here is to give new guitar players a perspective on how to find their own muse. I am not quite sure of how i am going to accomplish this, but i will give my all to get that across in my lessons.

Looking forward to it.

Daniel

Cheers Daniel for letting us know smile.gif .

You also have my admiration and empathy. It's not easy but very rewarding and satisfying to do it yourself. I spent a year designing and then helped to build our house when we moved to Spain 2 years ago. Finished the house a year ago and we're just about to start stage two - hard landscaping the back garden. Doing it- apart from learning building skills I never had before - was also great for learning some technical Spanish terms smile.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

What, like the Spanish for "Don't put it there you Bozo!" ??? Bozo or its derivitives are I assume the technical words you alluded to wink.gif

lol: Andrew - but I think we were a little more 'colourful' in the language we used though then 'No ponerlo alli idota' smile.gif .

There was one occasion when the head builder decided to ignore the detailed plans I'd given him with the consequence that a downstairs window was blocked by the diagonal of the staircase. We looked at it and he said to me, 'Well I don't really see what the problem is.' To which I replied 'Are you %*&&%$# stupid as well as blind?' , which was technical building Spanish for, 'Please either move the staircase or window and next time stick to the plan.' I know this was correct as he promptly moved the window wink.gif .

After doing these projects, i would never ever want to undertake building a whole house. I have a whole new respect for contractors who do this job everyday. I now also know why they charge so much. Although we have saved thousands and thousands of dollars. If there is a next time i think that extra money would be worth one less headache lol.
