Hello venerable GMC members!
I've been lurking on this site from something like 10 days, but because of a very important test on the university I forced myself not to register before passing it. Now to my surprise I have passed the above mentioned exam, and so rewarded myself with 3 month GMC subscription
Big thanks to Markus Siepen for having a blog! I had an idea to search for a Blind Guardian guitar pick on the net, and instead found Markus blog, where he mentioned GMC, and thanks to that I am here now.
I view myself as the "worst scenario" guitarist..
I have my guitar for few years, yet there are big gaps in this time between "longer playing periods".
I always was more of a chord player, that learned songs that could also be singed for the joy of the ladies
Now I also played some more advanced stuff, solos also, yet I have NO idea about theory at all, I just learned from guitar pro/normal tabs/rarely when something was easy from hearing.
So I have some experience in playing the guitar, but the advantages can be overpowered by the sheer number of mistakes that I am used to. I think that I must start from the very basics in order to get rid of these habits, yet it isn't easy
I hope that GMC will keep me motivated, help me to "break the circle".
I am looking forward to be a part of this great community also, of course:)
Marek "Gorim"
PS: if it comes to music, my most beloved bands are: Blind Guardian, Deamons & Wizards, Metallica ( will see them live on Wednesday ). Yet there are so many great bands that I like, that it would take to much time to type them here, and as my post is most probably 5x to long already, I shall do it another time;)
welcome

Welcome Gorim. I would love to hear your thoughts on the upcomimg Metallica show. Place it in "Bands and Artists". I'll be waching. Hope they play some new material!
Welcome! I was in pretty much your exact same situation (almost) a year ago when I joined. I feel I've improved hugely since then, I think you will too! There were a lot of bad habits to overcome. Just don't push yourself, start out slow and you'll be doing great in no time
Welcome to GMC man. Enjoy!

Welcome to GMC !! And hurray for Marcus's blog !
Hmm I agree that we have beautiful woman, but people in general? Naaaa
Also I am from city Lodz - second big in Poland, and it is nowhere as nice as Cracow. Well if someone would invest in Lodz few bilions, it would look good, because Lodz has hundreads of secession style houses, yet almost none of them is renovated, today only people that are fascinated in that kind of architecture notice it, all the rest see ugly, old, ruined buildings. Anyway that's not a problem for me, as we have most beautiful females here in Lodz, and who would care about buildings in such situation?
welcome
