GMC Forum _ REC _ Slash_5 - Classic Black Sabbath: Take 2

Posted by: slash_5 Jun 25 2011, 08:52 PM

This is my second take on this lesson. I worked on my timing in the rhythm section and I changed my strings to a lighter gauge, to improve my bending and vibrato. I think it helped, but I still have a lot of work to do on this technique.

Cool take.. your bends are quite accurate for this lesson. If you build from there you will make a good bending technique for yourself. smile.gif

Indeed, as Ben said, this is a good starting point. But you still have to work on this one, especially on the bending and vibrato. Try to vibrate more loosely and overall, pay more attention to details.

Yes, I agree with my colleagues biggrin.gif Creating more natural bending and vibrato movement (specially while doing bended vibrato) is what will do you most good here. Everything else is pretty much OK. With bends you are on the right track, so just keep rocking, it's going to be OK. Polish up the bending/vinrato a bit with the metronome for fastest result.

Hi man! It's great to see that you did a second take!! I can note improvements comparing this take with the previous one! The timing of the riffing part is much better... you need to to achieve playing it with more confidence but it's just a matter of time... Regarding the solo, I also note that it's a better take but I agree with the previous comments about bending and vibrato. Keep on working hard!
