GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ The 7 Modes And The 7 Churches

Hey guys, something came to my mind today as i was studying the modes. The 7 modes come from 7 different churches, but, do you think that these churches might be the 7 ones mentioned in the book of the Revelations?
Really interesting but a slight chance of being possible... or what do you think?

lol i understand what your suggesting. hmm it would be intersting. numbers are all around us. music is just another name for numbers in a sertan pattern.

Do you mean the names of the major scale modes? Aren't they the names of areas/tribes from Ancient Greece?
On reflection, I guess you're referring to the modes that the churches derived from the original Greek ones. The church modes are reckoned to be derived around the 9th century, which would be well past biblical times.
