These days, I started actively to ride my mount bike,(which I wasn't ride 20 years) and I can't describe how I'm feeling nice and weightless smile.gif! Lately I'm so sick when I should sit in the car, so this is a revelation for me. 10,15 miles a day- and as reborn !!! biggrin.gif

I'm riding my bike almost daily for 20-30km in average. It really feels great, especially when I turn off-road smile.gif

I ride a fixed bike at the gym. I feel very healthy every time I go. It's important for guitar players that stay lots of hours sit playing the guitar.

I solved the sitting issue with not using an elevator. Every time it's 6th floor once again smile.gif

I used to bike all the time, participated in perhaps 2 dozen triathlons, which generally included a 40K bike along with a 1.5K swim and 10k run.

But then I got my dog BoBo, and I felt bad leaving him. I did get covered a doggy wagon that was made in the Netherlands that I can hook to a bike.

But since then I have exercised regularly, generally daily on a Schwinn Airdyne Bike (the type with the big spinning fan on the front). I go 30 minutes a day at a pretty fast pace. I used to listen to music, but lately I have been focusing on my Spanish lessons. I could start outdoor biking anytime, I am still in shape for it. But my dogs are pretty unhappy when I leave him, so I just exercise indoors, and go for long walk with them instead for their exercise.

I do recommend biking. It is pretty safe if you are careful, and wear a helmet. Always use a light at night, and a back red light. And remember that at sunset and sunrise the sun can blind a driver. Also don't think it is safe on sidewalks, it is really more dangerous, they won't see you when you cross intersections from a side walk. Highways with low traffic (state highways in the US) are pretty safe. In the city stay off of the busy fast streets, go the long way on the side streets.

edit: and don't forget the sunglasses. generally around town I would always ride a mountain bike. I like a street bike better, but they are more suited to riding in the country. It is nice to be able to hop curb and such in the city when circumstances make that appropriate.

I'm getting old man smile.gif ! Cardiac pressure, who knows what else (I argued with my doctor,so I don't like going there). Well, fatty foods, cigarettes, a lot of indoors time, low physical activity.... now it's time for radical change !!!
