I have seen a video of my old friend Carter (RIP) when he was roadie-ing for Meatloaf in the 80'6 and one of the Guitarists had a problem with his cable and the Jack Socket on his Strat. Halfway through 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' you can see Carter run across the back of the stage, reach around the guitarist from behind and use a piece of Gaffer Tape to stop the cable wobbling!
