That is exactly how it's done!!

I have seen a video of my old friend Carter (RIP) when he was roadie-ing for Meatloaf in the 80'6 and one of the Guitarists had a problem with his cable and the Jack Socket on his Strat. Halfway through 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' you can see Carter run across the back of the stage, reach around the guitarist from behind and use a piece of Gaffer Tape to stop the cable wobbling! Simple fix, eh?? wink.gif

Now I remembered that 3 years ago, we were playing for a bands competition and our drummer changed his Snare in the middle of a song because it broke. Check the video at 1:54
