Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi,

This is my second attempt on this lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guitar/blues-licks1/

This time I used a tone that is more appropriate to blues and hope I added a bit o feeling to.
Also, used a Mr.Hankey Southpark guitar pick tongue.gif

So the first attempt was here: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...showtopic=35516

This is the second:

Same gear:
Ibanez S-Series 470DXQM
Boss Micro BR Recorder.
Sony camcorder.
Video synchronized with audio.

Please be as mercyless as you were on the first one.

Enjoy.

I think your timing and notes are great, everything in place,

I would say there's a problem with intonation, I don't know if the guitar is out of tune,

Make sure you carefully tune your guitar before recording!

great take though!

great man, much better.....i'd say just a little bit of work on the vibrato and string bending on your forefinger ....a bit better timing overall ... good work, you made some progress.... but ....keep practising and jamming!!! cheers biggrin.gif

Great take, man! I absolutely agree with the above mentioned, and I'd also like to mention to work on your vibratos. Blues without vibratos is a dead music smile.gif

As everybody said, vibrato should be better, but picking dynamics too. It's very important to accent some notes, bang them harder, and some other play more quiet, changes everything completely, specially in blues. This was very good take tho, and I will give it an 8.

8 from me man!
i like it a lot, bends are perfectly in tune, and intention/tone is ok, but you need to work on a couple of things:

-tune your guitar better (or maybe is calibration?)
-exaggerate ALL bends, you need to make em at least as TWICE as hard and wide.

super progress.
