Hello, for some reason, My wah (crybaby from hell) is sounding very weird when playing with my distortion pedal (metal zone, I have tried switching the order around but it sounds weird when their both turned on at the same time
any advice to fix this?
thanks in advance
Wah first and then the distortion should work...
Do they sound ok when it's just wah or just Distortion?
Hmm what do you mean by wierd?? Put wah first and than distortion...Try to tweak both pedals around to make a tone you like ?
weird as in the pedal is not really sounding like a wah, it just sounds like its raising and lowering the volume, but its works when its by itself and its just the amp
Mmmm check the tone in your MT pedal. The wah pedal works with a filter. If the tone in your MT is not "correct" is possible you hear like a increase and decrease in the volume and not the effect.
Yeah, Ramiro is right about that subject, you see wah pedal is a filter that moves the Q parameter of mid frequencies up and down, so if you dont have any mids in your tone, it wont work as its supposed to.
ahh, so I raise my mids till the wah starts working properly?
Yeap, check and test the tone until it sounds like you're used to hear.
ahh, I will mess with the metal zone tomorrow, thanks for the help
You're welcome mate!
I hope you'll be rockin that wah soon
I'm with Ramiro on this one, definitely check out the EQ on the Metal Zone pedal. Also a good thing to check is pickup position. Often wah works better on bridge then on neck pickup.
well i finally got the chance to mess with my metal zone with the wah but the same problem is happening and the notes are still blurring together when using the wah, i have no clue what to do as it works fine with just the amp
Can you post an audio sample perhaps mate. It would mean a lot in determining the problem. Also try to tweak the EQ more on the metal zone, if you haven't tweaked it a lot.
