Well, I made my first video earlier this week. I'm still pretty much a beginner, so please be gentle.
This is my cover of Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Part I. I recorded all parts (including synths).
Equipment used:
Very COOL!
Enjoyed watching this very much. For your first video / recording I would give you a 10 out of 10. Everything sounded good and looked in sync.
Playing tips would be watch the bends. Make sure you get them on pitch, Also the vibrato needs some work. I believe David G likes to use the whammy bar for some of his vibrato. That being said this was a great take man.
This is a great take my friend (from a Pink Floyd specialist )
I really like the fact that you play the intro on the keyboard.... As for the guitar it was also pretty good but there is 2 things that I would suggest you to improve. The first one is about your bends, you have to reach the proper pitch while bending and when you don't it feels a bit akward specially when you keep your bends ringing (like in this song). Second thing is you vibrato, I kind of feel that it wasn't enough emotional. That's my recommendation but a lot of people have trouble with these elements and I proudly count myself as one of them.
Also I would have put a bit of delay on the guitar to make it sound more like the original song.
Althought I made a bit of critics I think it is a pretty good take of an awesome song....
Good job man
Thanks for the input guys! I definitely need to work on vibrato and making the bends stay in tune. After I go back and listen to it, that last big bend at 3:11 seems very flat.
But, David G. started out as a beginner, too.
Great work covering this song! I'm amazed how well you have done this since its your first video! 10 from me! Regarding playing, pay attention to bending and vibrato and you will be fine!
Great, you really played it well!
Nice job man, I enjoyed it too!
great job man, nothing to add to the other comments about vibrato etc but I think your tone was very close to DG's which is probably the hardest thing of all!
Nice! Smooth, clean and precise. Good job....
