Am I Playing The Right Notes?

Plz see the difference from the actual lesson and mine on this. You are not far away from nailing it. It might help to check the left hand fngering. Use your pinky on the 6th string 8th fret, third finger on the fith string seventh and so on. Is the way I put my fingers on the fret necessary? For example instead of using the pinky on the E 8th fret I use the ring.Does it matter?
