If you are not already a member, go join fiverr.com it's free. You can get almost anything done for $5. Say you need a logo for your band, or a bass line for your new song etc. Also you can post a gig and ask for work. For example, ask to provide a guitar solo for someone for $5. Here is a link to mine

Seems very good for the customer but overcrowded for musicians.
It's really just a way to get oneself "out there". By charging basically nothing for a given service, it lets creative people find new connections and potential clients. But yeah, it's important to know going in that people often have crazy high expectations for nearly zero money.
Good luck, Todd Maybe one day I will join you on there, but my current situation with the job center etc. makes it a bit "risky", and I'm not sure I'm even in the right place mentally or playing wise to do something like this.
You could always use a "Stage name" and use a fake picture. It's easy to be someone else on fiverr.
