I also don't believe that there is a best guitar player. We all have our favorites... SRV is one of my favorites. I tend to lean more toward blues players than the shredders.

If we're talking about speed, Herman Li has seriously impressed me lately. But my all time favorite guitarists are Gilmour, Page and Hendrix, who I would say are the best : P

My Favorite is randy rhoads he was able to play Prety fastwas able to play acoustic classical stuff and inspired people like Zack Wyled

I hate this kind of polls hahahahaha
"This guys sucks!" - "No - your guy sucks!" - "Mine has done so much for rock music!" - "Mine has f**** his wife!" - "Mine picks better!" - "Mine breaks the floyd better!" - "Mine plays with more melody!" (With "Mine" i mean "my favorite guitarist") I mean - WTF????? I love Vai, Rusty, Satch, Luca Turilli, Andre Olbrich (Blind Guardian), Michael Angelo and many others but who cares if they are the best? The thing is - they are professional guitarists! They are all devided in some categories - you can't put Slash and Rusty in the same that's for sure (Slash can't beat Rusty in speed even if his life depended on it)! So who actually cares??? Enjoy the music of your favorite guitarist and that's it! I don't even know who my favorite is because i am blown away by Rusty and Luca Turilli at the same time. Francesco Fareri is also a monster shredder. These topics and polls are useless! Keep rocking! Edit: Just a little add-on: don't think of what they have done for guitar and music - better think of your own life and what you are going to do with guitar and music!!
