Hello everyone,
I find that when fretting chords I press too hard making them sound slightly sharp. I personally don't notice but instructors and members with good ears have noticed. I find that because the hand is in an awkward and unnatural position it seems to go tense whilst trying to hold the shape. I even get it with 5 chords (power chords) which should be relatively simple to hold. Are there any exercises to help? Any help would be great. Thanks Darius,
I think the action is ok because when I fret a single note it is pretty close to pitch. I have a feeling it is muscle tension issue. Maybe my muscles aren't developed enough for the chord shapes so it is a strain for them. Hopefully once they get stronger the shape will be easier and therfore the muscles will be more relaxed. What do you think? I woke up in the early hours thinking about this Cheers -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight.
