Ok Patrick, here we go with new MTP rules. You will be required to submit 3 assignments in October, all on weekly basis.

1st assignment is due on 17th of October.

I want you to upload audio and/or video of you playing following 7 alternate picking exercises. I would like you to do them at least 90bpm without any mistakes with these. If you are able to do them all at 90bpm, I want you to do 100, 110 or 120bpm. Submit your best and hardest tempo but make sure it is all clean without mistakes!

Feel free to check out first 5 examples that I played at 60,80 and 100bpm HERE.

When you are done with this assignment and if you do it before deadline, feel free to submit your improvising over backing track you mentioned in our last discussion.

Let me know if you got any questions!

Pedja

hi pedja, here's my exercises.

i would like to start saying that the 2 last exercises was incredibly difficult for me, well you're going to hear what i mean in the audio files.

I have tried doing it as perfect as i can, and I hope you like the results. Right now I'm just super stoked that I managed to play att those tempos, a huge improvement for me regarding alternate picking.

Patrik this is great man! Very well done smile.gif

I was just looking for one tempo only (90bpm for all of them) but great to see you took initiative and did 3 different tempos. You are doing better with medium to faster tempos. Slower ones you tend to rush a bit (play before the click) so work on that.

I will post your 2nd assignment for this month tomorrow. Great work!

Feel free to post your improvising over jam track you mentioned as well.

Patrik we are moving onto your 2nd assignment this month. Focus is on Sweep picking now.

2nd assignment due October 26th.

- Work on 5 sweep picking examples, record them (audio and/or video) and post them here.
- Use tempos provided in Guitar pro file as a guide for final tempo.

Let me know if you have any questions! I shall upload videos of myself playing those examples today and will post them here for you as well.

Pedja

P.S. Try to play examples using original tempo in guitar pro. If you have trouble with those let me know and I will drop the bar a bit smile.gif
