What A Problem....

They had a USA Jackson Rhodes guitar RR5 or something I think the guy said that was selling for $1000 dollars because it had a chip in the very corner of the wing that could have easily been repaired! I tried it and absolutely fell in love with it! Then I was faced with a problem..... Right next to it was a Japanese made Jackson DK2 Dinky that was selling for $800 dollars. Also I guess both come with hardshell cases (the RR5 does for sure). Also they both have Seymour Duncan Sh-4 and Sh-2 humbuckers (or coils on the dinky) Randy: Classic design, necktrhough with more sustain, string through body bridge, 22 frets, V-shape, generally higher quality being US made Dinky: Strat shaoe, Bolt on neck, 24 frets, Floyd Rose liscensed tremolo I would say the RR-5 is the better guitar if you like the shape and can live with 22 frets. The Dinky is propably more versatile but the Tremolo isn't the best and the wood and built quality is a bit lower than on the RR-5. You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick. If you don`t like the RR shape, then go for the Dinky, even if the quality is not USA (even though I think it`s still very neat). If you DO like the shape, and want to stand out: Buy the RR. The specs of the guitars aren`t particularly different, so I think you have to decided for yourself which shape you want ps: If I wear playing in a hard rock /metal bands, I would definitely go for the RR5! Usually, bending the 22. up to an E does the trick for me, I very rarely need those extra two notes. YJM manage with 21 frets I like mine to be 22 frets so that if you absolutelty need them high notes you can bend up to the second octave. Which is rare. And by the way, having a pickup at the position where the 24'th fret would normally be is bettering the sound from the neck pu.
