GMC Forum _ Recording _ How To Add Sound Effects?

Posted by: Gilmore Jul 29 2008, 11:03 AM

Hi

Can you guys tell me how you add sound effects to your songs? Like rain and thunder for example. Is there any sound effects bank inside Cubase?

No, but there are tons of free samples on the net. Just google it.

Yeah , you need to find an sound sample and import it as a track in cubase...There is nothing of that sort that is bundled with cubase..

Hi,

I use Xtreme FX from UltimateSoundBank:

It's a rather expensive solution, since you also need an Ilok key to use it. huh.gif
It contains tons of effects.
And quality is top. Somewhat demanding on PC power.

As they sad, google the net a bit for it.Good thing is software like Battery where you can upload the sample and haw a better control over it,and control is trough midi.I use it a lot.I am not shore that Battery is free,I got it for B day from a friend.
Try to find some trial version on the net and if you like it and it serves you well,it is a good buy.smile.gif
