Hi guys, on my take 1 I scored an 8, but I know I can do better. I added vibrato to bend notes and tried to improve the overall take.

8 is a very good rate man! We give higher for being extra close to perfection and 10 for perfection.
You have to keep in mind that some techniques need a long time and experience to master them at level 10. It's not a fault of player - some things just can't be done in a weeks or even months. The difference between semi-advanced players and pros are the details...same like with guitars. You pay extra for details that are sometimes not even visible for a part o players. this is something natural.

Your left hand vibrato and bending still require workout but You need to go to the roots of bending mechanics. It's a skill You will get for all Your future playing si it's worth to take the time, no rush, not demand too much from Yourself in too short time period.

Let's make a detailed analysis:

1. Hand look unstable - the hesitation is visible (wrist or fingers should I use?)
2. You've improved stability of fingers - that's for sure, but it's still not a perfect aproach
3. When vibrating we rather rotate the wrist then just pull down the whole hand ( see You final vibrato - up/down/up and finally rotation at the very end of this note)

Try to make consistent rotation of a wrist just like You did on "the end of the last note".

Also there are some unwanted noises form not muted strings ringing under the notes that are played
Still a few pitches are not correct.

Why the rotation is so important? Take a close look and listen to Your bend notes. While pushing the finger You get a bit upon the right pitch and the start to vibrato across the pitch that is already a bit to high. Wrist rotation is like a natural "push up the pith and release the hand to make string come back to natural position"

Try to make a detailed analysis of Your own recording. Please don't get mad on me. Maybe it's sound rough but it's wirtten in a good faith...

Hi Jeroen! Great to see you working hard. This take is not better than the previous one, but this doesn't mean that you aren't evolving or moving forward. You added vibrato which is a great new step, however this addition made you have more pitch problems with bends and even some timing issues. It seems that the new technique used all your attention and you could keep the other techniques consistent.

My suggestion is that you continue working on this lesson but also start working on a vibrato lesson to focus and get used to this technique. Darius gave you excellent feedback and tips to master it. I would like to add Ben's Vibrato lesson that will be a good complement to this String Bending lesson.

I think that the guys pretty much summed it up Mate, you as a lot of other people tend to rush forward into thinking that the suggestions we give you are things that can be achieved in a week's time or so, or sometimes even one day after. Truth is, these things take time, patience. determination and A LOT of practice. That doesn't have to scare you - if you were to progress in a day's time, you would get bored very quickly, trust me. In a few years you would dread the guitar because you would know everything and there would be nothing new to learn.

Now, take the time and the patience and effort to consistently apply the suggestions given by Darius and Gabi and progress will occur!
