Hi Guys,
Just joined the site. I have been part of other websites that offer instructional videos.... Like jamplay.com, nextlevelguitar.com, guitartricks.com.... etc.... But none of those were really enough for me. I mean it was great for the time being while i was on the material that was interesting to me, but eventually it just ran out and i wanted more. Most of all i just want to find a good community of people with similar interests.
When i started I put great emphasis on learning theory, so i did spend a lot of time memorizing notes on the fretboard, learning and memorizing scales/modes and how to play them all across the fretboard, intervals, rhythms... etc... I learned to apply it and started jamming little bit by little bit. Actually before i even learned to play songs, i was stubbornly just doing exercises. And time went....
I played in front of people before, if u put me on a stage i will be scared shitless as usual, but i can hold my own as a rhythm guitarist. I have a small home studio and i try to record a lot. Guitar is my only real hobby, so i spend few hours a day playing, i really do nothing else. I can honestly say without giving myself too much credit and without buffing my ego that i'm a intermediate guitarist.
Learning to play guitar is really a life-long journey, so learning never really stops and that's why i decided to join this site and see if i can keep learning. This site costs so little that it would be crime to pass this opportunity without giving it a try.
I like Rock, Blues, Metal... I mean just a lot of different music. I hope one day to learn to play Jazz guitar, but it seems to me its out of my reach for now.
This is the equipment i work on:
Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II (Midnight Ebony)
Fender Starcaster (Its my cheap $100 guitar, which was my first, i keep it as my Open-G guitar.)
Peavey Vypyr 15
Fender SP-10
Boss ME-70
Boss RC-20
For recording:
Line6 UX1
KRK Rokit 5s (pair)
I'm glad to be here and i hope i can meet some cool people here and learn new things from the instructors.
