Nice! Let me know how it turns out i've been looking at buying a schecter!

Posted by: skennington Feb 17 2009, 01:27 AM

Nice guitar Dan! smile.gif With all the talk around here lately about Shecter's, they have been catching my eye a bit more. Ever heard of a Schecter Custom Shop? Check out this bad boy.....

Those are dang nice.

I almost got one when I got the LTD MH-400.

Awesome guitar for sure.

Thanks hommies! smile.gif

Very nice Skenny! That is a sweet custom!

Posted by: blindwillie Feb 17 2009, 07:43 AM

If I was going for a better/more expensive guitar than my Hellraiser I would go for a Schecter Custom rather than a more expensive regular guitar. Or go all-in and order a handmade custom.

I've fallen in love with the Hellraisers. A big congratulations to you. smile.gif

And I'm still not sure which metal axe to get. I like the hellraiser. But it just doesn't look evil tongue.gif But most of those "evil" looking guitars are uncomfortable to play while sitting. May be I'll get the Avenger that might be what I want.

LOVE Schecters - and I can't get enough of their black cherry finishes - and that sparkling binding on the headstock biggrin.gif (My Omen 7 has the same finish and a maple binding - these colours and the finish quality really makes even the most cheapest Schecters look like a precious instrument).

Me: "How 'bout throw in a set of strings too?"

Dude: "Man you are already getting a killer deal with this!!!"

Me: "No offence man but the amount of money I dropped in this store you should be giving me that guitar. You can certainly give me a pack of 5 dollar strings!"

Dude: "I'll see what I can do."

Me: "OK."

Dude: "I can't do the strings but how 'bout 12 months same as cash"

Me: "Sold"

Not to smart if you ask me...THey could have made a lot more money on the interest on my credit card. laugh.gif

Thats about right..

They did have one there that looks like mine and new for about $800. But with tax/shipping Im sure it will be $1000 when all said and one.

Posted by: jer Feb 17 2009, 10:33 PM

Financing deals like that are VERY expensive for stores to do.

But with large companies that gets lost in the mix. All that matters is the price they got in the store. Not the final bottom line for some bean counter 700 miles away.

Big business is not always the way to go. They shoudl have given you the strings. That would have cost them what $3.50? At the most.

That 12 mo SAC likely cost them 8% or more of the amount financed. $40????

Idiots.
