[font=Comic Sans Ms]Hi, I'm a new member here. Your lessons really caught my attention so I decided to join in and I can say that you're really good. There's 1 thing that I want to know since you're in a band. How do you compose a song? I tried but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. Most of the time, I just play whatever as long as it sounds good. I wanna know if there are certain rules that I have to follow? I've heard something with circle of fifth and I have to follow the scales not just throw in random notes. Yup that's all Hope you can help me with this and thanks Hi Man! Thank you! The best way to begin to compose is analizy the bands and songs that you like. The chords that they use, the different combinations of them, the mode that they use and the structure of the songs. Then with all those different things wrote in a paper start doing your own variations. In the begining you'll compose songs that you don't like or that sounds like others but with some practice you'll compose great songs. cheers. gabriel.- -------------------- My lessons
