I think it's just whatever you feel comfortable with, trying different picks out they aren't too expensive

I use small 2mm picks for my speed/tremolo picking stuff and use .38mm for playing chords etc. Some say that if you use thick picks like a 2mm and use heavy guages of strings your picking/sweeps goes much smoother.

Ive been using sum fender mediums for a while, but im heading back into the market.. i need to buy some practice picking.. this is a little off topic.. but has anyone ever been able to play everything without an amp .. but as soon as they plug in it sounds like crap tongue.gif this happened to me. and i think its how i pick, the craptacular sounds i make when i don't have an amp don't get heard but once i plug it in it sounds like crap sad.gif

Yea Manowar rocks like hell \m/ biggrin.gif \m/

Can't wait to go on the next concert of them.

About picks I need to test other types still. Thanks god that they're so cheap laugh.gif
But as long I'm practicing I think I stay with the 1mm ones.
