This sucks... I'm supposed to be starting a band this summer, and I need to save my money for a car, even though I need a new amp/ guitar b4 i can get it started. sad.gif .... Gene just brought up a good point.... we also need recording equipment... ain't that a B?

Yeah the only thing that sucks about guitar is that it costs so much for stuff.

I bought my first guitar and amp for about $250 bucks. I used that guitar and amp for two years. My rather lame band was good enough to book a lot of opening gigs for odd punk bands. I almost felt bad when I used all the money that $300 guitar and amp made me to replace the poor guy.

(P.S we literally recorded on a tape deck with the worlds worst mic. Seriously, it's officially the worlds worst mic - it's in the smithsonian now)

I guess what I'm saying is that if you really want to start a band just do it and make your first song "I play a piece of shit Peavey I found at a yard Sale."

Same here man, i have a jackson but need to sell for my car/car insurance and will be using my crappy marshal guitar nd practice amp from now on. I really want a Dean but slim chances i'll be getting one this summer for my band. Nice to have a good old moan though ay? lol

Good chioce in brands.... I have a Dean Vendetta4.0 and it pwns... I still need a guitar with a whammy bar tho... and the Vendetta doesn't have 1. I was looking at the MAB-1 ArmorFlame... its on my Gear Talk topic
