Its my birthday on Wednesday and I decided to get myself a present, so i ordered up a set of the new Seymour Duncan blackout active pickups. Ive heard nothing but good things about them and I'm really looking forward to gettin them in the Ibanez RG. Ill be sure to post up a review and pics after i get them in. For now here a little video from youtube to check out.

Top purchase my friend.

I just stuck some Seymours into a very old Les Paul in need of some live being breathed into it.

These were Phat cats and they were awesome.
Wish you luck.

yep self install, I consider myself competent enough to solder some things together. The active pickup install is actually easier than normal pickups. I checked out the wiring diagram on the seymour duncan website and it's not too bad at all. My guitar is so sad looking now, I already took everything apart because A. i was bored today and B. the new one will be here tomorrow. The guitar has zero components installed just the wood, very unsettling knowing im gonna have to redo all that installing tomorrow but it will be worth it.

Never had much experience with Seymour Duncan, I have always kinda relied on EMG or DiMarzio.....maybe one day I will try some!! They sound very cool.......look forward to your pics!!

Enjoy!
