ok you see when you hit in a chair with your elbow and you kind a feel a small "shock"
well last night...i was storing my jacks......the point of a jack hit me at the elbow....T_T it was painfull i never felt anything like was like my arm was completely electrocuted, after a few min 2-3 it passed, but i still feltl some "little pain" in my albow and half of my right hand was numb, i thought that it was only temporary, so i lay down and ZZZZzzzZZZzz....today when i wake up the "little pain" and the numb were still there :x i am alone at home, so can't ask help to my parents and i don't know what do to :/ and i fear this might get worse
Been there man!
I recommend you just take it easy, mostly our bodies heal up themselves. If it really hurts, say, tomorrow, I'd recommend you to go see a doctor.
But just try to relax, maybe put something cold there to numb the shocks and/or ease the possible swelling.
I know the feeling of getting a chock, but then without electricity.
So I can imagine that it's painful with electricity.
The cause of the pain is because it hitted your nerve (almost) directly.
I think it will get better after a while. Your nerve is just chocked and will heal. Just like when you bump a chair, it heals.
BUT, I'm not a docter so don't kill me if I'm wrong.
Ty guys...i think i will make a break on guitar and things so i can "relax my arm" and focus on study for the exams
Yeah, relax and don't move the arm much today. It doesn't sound like it's too serious, will probably heal when the arm rests a couple days. If it continues to bother you after that, better see a doctor though Better safe than sorry.
The guys are right, give it some time and it should take care of itself. It sounds like you gave it a good knock on or near a nerve. It may actually get worse for a day or so, then it will get better. A bit of Ice the first few days might help if there is swelling, maybe a tylenol or so. But within a few days it should be feeling better. If it doesn't feel better in a week, then I'd be concerned.
ok ty guys for the advice
Yes, ice, really important.
You may put ice on a bruise or a sprained... the first 72 hours.
Just relax and take a break for couple of days, it will be fine, nothing is bleeding or broken, just a bit of a shock to the nerve
In Norway it is called "enkemannstøt", a male widows electric jolt, sort of. As a widowed man, the pain is strong, but short.
Sometimes it can last longer than other times, depends on how direct it hit. Should be over by the next day at least
Yeah, hitting the nerve around the elbow is intensely painful. I haven't done it like you have before but I've got RSI all around that area so I know what it feels like. Sometimes I'll wake up and it'll hurt like hell if I've been sleeping on it. Even using the computer too much makes it hurt.
Basically the guys are right, rest it, don't over use it for tasks that require a lot of wrist movement (guitar, using the computer, table tennis, haha !) because excessive wrist activities will manifest themselves in the elbow region (and tension from your back and shoulders will run down to your elbow as well - it's all linked together)
Anti-inflammatory tablets and rest !!!
But I can't stress enough how mush using a mouse and keyboard irritates the pain and makes it worse. Sometimes I have have to get my other half to move the mouse for me when it's real bad.
