Hello everyone

Just a little suggestion

When we embed a YouTube video i think it would be useful if we all try to remember to post the URL with it too please.

It's not a priority but, I for one, only really use my PC when I'm taking my practice. Other times like when I'm in the lounge with my wife or when I'm in a hotel room or on lunch break at work, I am browsing GMC forum on my tablet or phone and the embedded YouTube player isn't supported I find it most missed when it's something of a technical nature.

I'm sure this applies to others so I think it would be great if we could all try to do this Its a shame it doesn't work like SoundCloud where it automatically puts the URL there for you.

Maybe admin could create an extra box in the area where you embed the YouTube video where you can enter the full URL. The URL has been copied anyway so it's only a couple of extra clicks. It will be a good reminder for us

I def think it's a good idea for people to remember to include the youtube link, as more people will be able to see the video.

The plan is to completely replace the forum software as its getting very old. I don't think we will try to hack the current software for these kind of fixes.

Are you have problems on an android phone? Youtube embeds seem to work on iphone for me.

Thank Kris,

I've just tested on my wife's iPad and the embedded videos work fine, it must be an Android thing because it doesn't work on my Android phone or my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. My wife has issues playing Facebook videos on her iPad though.

My other reason for thinking it was a good idea is someone might come across GMC on their android device and it might ecourage them to look into it more if they can view the videos but if they can't, they might forget about it

Update: For some reason my android tablet is now supporting embedded YouTube video. It opens them in the YouTube app so it's all good
Hopefully the update will get to every android user soon.

Let's us know if yours still doesn't work
