Count me in
Posted by: Matt23 May 4 2008, 01:32 PM
I'll give this a shot. I've never really used the mixolydian or dorian modes before so this should be fun.
Ps- The backing is amazing, if you have a tab for it id love to see it.

Cool take Hammerin Hank, liked it a lot!
Posted by: Hammerin Hank May 10 2008, 11:41 PM
Hey thanks Smells....it's kind of funny I was just listening to your take thinking the same.
I enjoyed the way you mixed it up, especially with the octaves.
Well done! Rock On!
I noticed you said in the smooth jazz forum you could use work on your jazz. I have only been
dabbling with jazz for a short time but George Benson was one of the guys that I picked up some
licks from.
If you are not familiar with him check him out, he is unreal. He does a nice cover of "On Broadway"

Well you're in the right place - neither could I a year ago
Check out Kris' Alternate Picking 101 Lesson and then there are very many other lessons that will help when you have the basics down.

Well I think that two weeks for 20 seconds of recording is more than enough.. but seeing that many didn't record yet maybe it's worth moving the deadline a bit :/

I'm at work at the moment, but will upload my take when i come home tonight CET
Posted by: David Wallimann May 19 2008, 06:13 PM
Ok, moving the deadline to the 24th. :-)
