GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Most Anticipated Records 2008!
Posted by: Fsgdjv Jan 20 2008, 11:11 PM
So yeah, I thought I could do a thread about this. 2008 has come, and basically, what records are you anticipating the most this year?
My top 5:
1. Opeth - Unknown name
2. Bloodbath - Unblessing the Purity
3. Katatonia - Unknown name
4. Daylight Dies - unknown name
5. Anathema - unknown name, produced by Steven Wilson
Other mentions: Agalloch - The White, the demo from Six Feet of Foreplay, and maybe something from Dan Swanö's new Death-band.
EDIT: I had to change a bit and mention some other stuff.

I have no idea, but I'm expecting Odd Nordstoga to come with a new album, his last album came in 2006.
I also think Marit Larsen is coming with a new album this year.

I liked load though, so even if they went back to that (and by all accounts they are going back further than that) I'd be happy. But if they could rekindle the Kill em All - ..And justice or even black album magic I'd be really happy.

I'm with you. It could be the Black Album all over again, I don't know if I'd go as far as to say Load, but I guess as long as it isn't St. Anger...

Yeah.. and KMC:-P
Its supposed to be heavier that Ten Thousand Fists, even having solos. (There was only a few on previous records.) Obviously their not going to kick out a record thats shredding up and down the neck, but if it is similar to Ten Thousand Fists I will be plenty happy.
P.S. I've never used a different font so I thought I'd try it out.

Yes, I'm excited for Bloodrunk and Indestructible as well. Going to see Bodom in the Gigantour and if Disturbed comes around here I reckon I'll see them as well

Also having great expectations for the upcoming album by Racoon, which is quite a popular band here in the Netherlands. They got some beautiful songs as well as lots of cheerful sunny music.

Biomechanical - Cannibalized (alread preordered )
Muse - whatever title
Pain of Salvation - New live DVD, to expect a new studio album after only one year is naíve...
Also it'll be interesting to see what Metallica comes up with.

I know some people here are fans of Norther and there new album N is a bit metalcore-ish. Definitely went on a different directions here. Wasn't bad by any means but
