Guys! smile.gif I am very proud to announce that Travis AKA Spasemoonkey, has overcome a great barrier in his playing - he started interpreting and feeling articulation in a very good way, so with this post I would like to congratulate him! Check out the take in the link below:

Much thanks everyone, couldn't have done it with the coaching of Cosmin, and everyone who helps inspire me here at GMC to pickup my guitar everyday. smile.gif

Nice one, Travis !! That does sound really fluid and feeling. This element of guitar playing is probably THE hardest thing to try and teach. In fact, I don't think it can be taught, only suggested.. so Cosmin must have done a great job in coaching this playing to come out of you. Once you've seen the other side, there's no going back ! Great playing, well done smile.gif

Thanks Ben! I would have to agree with the teach part. You guys are like a guide, and over here is a rare orchid that only grows in Brazil. You can notice this by the the specific texture pattern on the steam of the plant. tongue.gif

How does one teach feeling? Everyone feels different, I think Alex said it best in a post, you have to learn to fake it. If your good regular people can't tell but those who have high strength in that area can, so you have to be better at faking it!

This has a been difficult journey so far indeed, but it feels my overall playing was improved by it, from feeling, to timing, and even muting strings as I did bends. I also had a moment where I was listening to a cd and went, I never realized how much vibrato really is used.

Hey Travis smile.gif it wasn't only me - you had the ambition and power to overcome the great barrier of 'I just can't do it' smile.gif I sincerely congratulate you for that! But hey wink.gif let's see what the next level is, right? Work, work, work!

Thanks Ben! Indeed, the words are pretty hard to find so that one can describe this process. I guess it's a matter of being able to get in touch with your inner self and using your ears a lot! So smile.gif Travis must have a keen hearing as well biggrin.gif
