Original lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Sweet-Country-Ballad/

Kept it really clean as far as tone... perhaps the overall recording could use a boost. I know there a bend or 2 that require some focus ... very nice phrasing had to give it a go Thanks for listening

Hi mate!

Yeah! This lesson is very beautiful. Guido's phrasing is very inspiring. I can notice that there are some bends that need extra work. Besides that, I can also here some timing issues here and there (for example at 00:47) that could be polished.

I feel that you can play the different parts but that there is room to make everything sound tighter and more expressive. I would put some focus on the way Guido articulates the different phrases, his use of dynamics, and why not, some tone adjustment to make the sound related better with the backing track.

This doesn't mean that this is a bad take, there are many strong elements in your playing here. It's a 7!

Keep on rocking!

Hey there!

I had a really good time listening to your take. It has a pleasant touch and good dynamics, as well as overall tone match. There were no moments were I felt distracted by any of your little "slips" becasue they were very little - mostly timing and a little misprecision in bending but just a little. It feels like there are moments when your not confident enough and the hesitation causes you to loose the flow - around 044-45 for example when you went off the beat.

Notice that Guido does a different execution of vibrato. You tend to start vibration rapidly and the quit it towards the end of the note. Guido does teh exact oposite (which I personally love as well) - he starts the note quite flat and then start to smoothy add the vibration towards the end of it. Of course it doesn't apply to ultra short notes. Try to apply vibration more gently and you will get same feel as Guido has.

Besides above I see nothing serious to fix. Well don and great choice of lesson smile.gif

Nice!

I have an idea how you could address the bending issue and improve your over all technique. I recorded a video for you:

The out of pitch bending here will affect my grade but over all I think you ar eon a good path here. You get a 7 from me!
