Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Eddie Van Halen Style by Muris Varajic

Hello everybody! Its been a while since the first rec post. In this lesson I learned how to make that harmonics, which was cool! I know its not perfect (made a mistake in a bending at 0.26 s) but I enjoyed a lot practicing it. See you soon! Aki

Hi Aki, good to see you posting again !

This was a good take although there's some places you could improve in, mainly timing and palm muting in the opening riff. Some of the chord changes are a bit early, like at 0:05.

However, they are just some small things you can work on but you've got some solid skills, keep working at it ! smile.gif

Hey Aki!

I agree with Ben and I can only tell you that more slow practice, while being focused on all the details, timing and clean execution will bring this lesson to perfection in your hands smile.gif

Keep up the good work man!

Cosmin

I like this take! It sounded very nice! I agree with Ben and timing is the main issue if you will practice this lesson with a metronome this problem will be fixed very fast! You are almost there and can get this lesson to sound perfect in no time! smile.gif

Hi mate! That's a good take!
It has some details to be perfect, like some chords that sound weird, bends that don't reach the pitch or some little timing issues but I'm sure that with more days of practice you will master it, because the most difficult parts are sounding great!
Keep on rocking! wink.gif
