I wish I had my first guitar , it was a Peavy Predator , it was beautiful I learned to play a lot of songs with that guitar back in 1994.

So which was your first guitar and what memories do you have?
My first guitar was red, and didn't really have a name. It said "Squier Fender Mini". I named it Godzilla, and played it all the time. When I got my next guitar, which is also my current guitar, a white Bullet Strat, I realized how much better it was then my old guitar. Still I love the first guitar that introduced me to playing guitar.
Like most people, My first guitar was a Squier Strat. It was a Red one exactly like this one.
I learned to the main riff to Layla on that thing...
My first guitar was a Jackson Flying V in black with a licensed Floyd Rose. I named her Mona and played her for one year but the tremolo was cheap and could not deal with divebombs without going out of tune. There was also the problem of playing it standing because it was way too heavy at the head which made it hard to play. These are the reasons why I sold it, but I wish I would have kept the neck because it wa a great, thin and unpainted 24 fret neck...
I've only got 21 frets. It still rocks though.
Mine was a Takaharu. Copy of a strat with sustain that could be counted in milliseconds. Luckily I don't have any pictures of it.
My first guitar was "Animal" Stratocaster copy. Nice looking guitar, but don't remember how it sounded tho
I have a 90s Korean Squier Stratocaster. It actually says "Stratocaster", so it's an old model. Had it since I started playing, 6 or so years ago.
like everyone, a strat copy. Squier
My first was a little squire It really sucked
my first quitar is still the Esp viper 50
The really first was an acoustic...brand arrow...the first electric an ibanez Pgm30.
My first guitar was also a red Strat only it wasn't even a Squier. It was a Bridgecraft, if you've never heard of this company join the rest of the 99.9% of the world but still it was a good guitar. My first riff was back in black by AC/DC. So many memories. *teardrops on the keyboard*
Mine was a cheap Peavey Raptor. It was purple and I loved it
Black Fender Squier for me as well.
My first guitar was a Fender Squier Stratocaster, black with a white pickguard
It was quite good actually, nice playability and all but... the sound wasn't all that good
For a beginner this guitar was pretty decent
My first guitar was a Yamaha RG112 24 frets !!!! hehehee, that's the reason why I cannot play with less than 24 !
My first one was a Big Sound fender-copy.. It is to a squier what a squier is to a real stratocaster..
Mine was a Black Epiphone Les Paul copy
Mine was an Acoustic, which i still have it. I love that acoustic, learned alot on that guitar.
Its a yamaha F-310p.
I still remember the day i got it, like yesterday
I got my first guitar, 2 days ago, haha
Epiphone les Paul looked awsome played like crap even after i had a pro set up the bought a 112 pacifica awesome guitar and half the price of the les paul
A W E S O M E !
the first guitar I had was a borrowed guitar (eek 1985!!), it was an Ibanez Roadstar, similar to the picture but a dark wood grain finish, as I remember it played pretty well!
I used this for about 3 years then I bought a Charvel guitar very similar to the 650XL and then stupidly traded that in for another (lesser model!) Charvel, makes me feel ill everytime I think about why I traded it
my first guitar was this £50 new ($100) guitar with a tiny mini-amp, it was from a big store that sells everything in the UK so looking back i can tell the guitar was worth about $10, and the rest was profit.
Played real bad, fret buzz all over the neck- and it was really noticable (not the discrete kind of fret-buzz you sometimes get)
(no pic available)
But after 8 months of no prgress i bought a marshall starter guitar second hand- marshall rockett special.
Still use it today! all my recordings are from this bad boy.
I'll never get rid of this thing, because unlike the other guitar- this is the one i have the bond with and where i made all my progress.
edit: the marshall guitar was £90 ($180) and was used.
mine was an encore strat copy, its currently in my cupboard for sentimental value lol
then i bought a stagg warlock copy (which got stolen)
after that i got an ibanez grg170dx which i play often now since i put new pickups in
i got an epiphone lespaul with EMG's which i play now
My first guitar was an Epiphone SG and then I sold it and bought a Fender Jaguar
And then I sold it And bought a Parker Nitefly M and never looked back.
First guitar was a made in mexico Squire strat from the 80's that I picked up dirty cheap off a friend. I still think its one of the best playing strats Ive ever tested out, and play it as my main guitar.
My first guitar was a spanish Alhambra classical guitar, which I still own and still sounds good! Never goes out of tune even if I don't play it for months
After that came a fender telecaster thinline '69 and many years later an epiphone SG, which is my favourite guitar these days
Mine was an Ibanez GRX70. I don't have much use for it any longer, so I'm just keeping it for sentimental value. Currently I have it in EEE tuning, which is fun to mess around with now and then.
My first guitar was also a Strat but it was a real Strat, which I still have. Only thing is the whole thing is custom now except for the body is the only thing left from when I bought it
My first guitar was a Yamato Les Paul Copy.
It's still my only electric .
I've decided after all these years to do it up and pay it back for all that loyalty.
I'd still like a real Les Paul Standard but hey, the copy does me for now.
Lets be honest, I don't feel I play well enough to have a reallly expensive guitar...
My first was a baby taylor acoustic. Great little acoustic, still have it... needs a string change though My first electric was a fender musicmaster, which didn't actually work electronically after a short while.. but I ended up getting a MIJ telecaster aerodyne which I made a lot of progress on. So that's really my first electric, that worked Even though the neck pickup doesn't work now, need to have it looked at
As for my first guitar, I've posted it before so there's really no reason not to now.
That's a Daisy Rock Rock Candy Custom. Yes, it's a girl guitar and it's pink and black.
It has a story to it though. I'm pretty sure I've posted it here before but I can't find it so here goes...
A band I like was having doing a pre-order special for their new album. Pre orders got their copy of the album signed and entered into a drawing to win a guitar. The pink and black on the guitar matched the color scheme that the band uses, so it made sense. I like signed stuff and didn't think I'd win the guitar, so I pre ordered and then my entry was picked in the guitar drawing.
So I had a guitar and didn't know how to play. Decided that I should learn how, and here I am.
"Girliness" aside, it's actually a quality guitar. Grover tuners. Bolt-on. Mahogany body and neck (8 lbs). Rosewood fretboard. 24 3/4 scale. String-thru body. Coil tap. It has those "duncan designed" pickups but they sound alright. The neck's narrow and thin and feels good to my hands.
My first one was an acoustic guitar, a Yamaha as far as I remember, with nylon strings. First electric guitar was a Flying V, the black and white Michael Schenke model, it was no Gibson though, actually I have no idea what it was... lol, wait, that's not true, I know what it was... CHEAP
Mine was an Epiphone Les Paul Studio - they used to have crowninlays, not dotinlays like today which looked pretty cool. It was a pretty good guitar, but after a year or so it had problems with the neck. At least it was a case of warranty so the store took it back and I decided to take an Epiphone Les Paul Custom instead of. And this Epiphone still works, now for 4 years [attachment=6732:deltapaula.jpg]
my first guitar was a spanish guitar that my granddad found at the dump.
it says almeria on the sticker inside it. really bad guitar, bent neck, doesn't stay in tune, sounds awful. but hey, i still have it. after about a month i bought a yamaha pacifica 112, which is pretty good. it's has been heavily modified. it continues to be.
