I am honestly very disapointed...
linkin park wuz my favorite rap metal band... then...
minutes to midnight happened...
it had some good songs. Bleed it Out, No more Sorrow,
What ive Done, Given Up(my favorite)
I dont like it. some might. i dont.
I want your opinion... maybe im making a mistake...
Oh well. speak the truth i wont hate u.
I promise.
They Suck NOW
well....I respect Rick Rubin to the end for his job on RHCP,Audioslve...and many others...but..I think that he is the main reason for their last album....being....well worst than the albums before

No, you aren't making a mistake.
Linkin Park was the band that made me stop listening to rap and country and start listening to rock, then from there I slowly moved into the position I am in today. Hybrid Theory is still one of my favorite albums ever and Meteora was sweet as well. Saw them live a few years ago. Songs like "Somewhere I Belong," "Don't Stay," "Points of Authority," etc, are classic in my mind.
However, MtM comes along, and TBH, I thought it was utter crap. Listened to it one time and it went in the closet. Linkin Park's rapping and turntables used to be a huge part of their sound, now it is just basically guitar, drums, vocals, and a little bass, which I can find in PLENTY of other bands.
they suck and they always have and always will
I think when some body say "suck"...they mean that band can't play...singing is of key..or stuff like that.....becouse if they suck in the contest that you say they would not have so much rock listeners..and so much rock audience...but last album is diferent and not expected by their audiance...that is why so many fans was disapointed.
Chester sang like an angel!!!
I'll admit, I used to like them, minutes to midnight is horrible though. Not only did I dislike the music, but Shinoda's head got to him and he started getting all Bono on the lyrics/subject matter. I liked them a lot more when it was just teen angst and alienation they sung about.
i really enjoyed Meteora i remember sitting in my friends basement listening to that album for hours on end and playing Playstation 2 and ATV offroad fury good memories.. i really enjoyed the early linken park.. now they've gone emo.. and essentially mainstream.. they played in my city a while ago.. and the people that went were such posers.. they had never even heard of Meteora they only knew about the new album and the song "Bleed it Out" and they went.. bought t-shirts and never thought about what linken park used to be.. if people liked the old and the new then linken suceeded but i think they failed
I can't stand any form af rap or nu- metal
I like Collision course... Linkin Park and JZ... and some stuff from hybrid... but thats it from them..but collision course is a straight up beast!!!

they're alright...they don't suck....
I don't know... I grew up with Hybrid Theory being released and that was awesome, and so was Meteora...but Minutes came out at a time where I wasn't really into them...I need to give it another listen.
I love Meteora and Hybrid theory, but I didn't like collision very much, except a couple songs.
I was waiting for MtM, and it was so dissapointing that I just listened to it twice...
Half the songs were slow. and boring!
I didnt even hear all of them cause i couldnt stand it!
Why do good bands have to jack up there music nowadays...
"not repeat themselves", are you kidding, their songs ALL sound the same.

You can't really knock them if you don't like their style, but you can knock them that their song writing is horribly formulaic and repeats itself again and again. That said, I used to REALLY liked hybrid theory through collision course. For me, it was the fact it was so different from most everything out there and it was the rapping and the pretty much poetry with which they were written, the alliteration, assonance, and interesting meter that he used that captured me.
I was only actually speculating - trying to find a reason for cause of the disatisfaction. I should clairfy that I dont actually listen to Linkin Park or own any of their records so I wouldnt know for sure
I enjoy listening to linkin park albums. I think that the new one sound more in the pop style but I enjoy listening to it too. The make nice melodies and choruses and that's something very difficult to get. I respect them.
gabriel.-
When i listen to Linkin park i dont want slow quiet crap, i want there louder heavier stuff. And minutes to midnight is mostly that slow, quiet crap.
